EWAP Tuvalu
Photogrammetric documentation of eight endangered vernacular buildings in Tuvalu.
Part of the Endangered Wooden Architecture Programme, a heritage preservation initiative funded by Oxford Brookes University and delivered locally through the School of Architecture and Built Environment at the University of Newcastle. Over a field trip with a team of three, we captured eight vernacular buildings across Tuvalu using photogrammetry and aerial footage. On location I worked as camera operator, shooting with a Sony A7III and a 50mm prime. Back in Newcastle I was the sole processor for all eight models — handling image processing and metadata in Capture One, photogrammetry in RealityScan, and cleanup in Blender. The resulting 3D records contribute to a global archive of at-risk wooden architecture.
